The Jewellery Quarter clock tower might not be the Statue of Liberty but take a bite from the new American Diner style menu at the nearby Rose Villa Tavern and you’ll be back in the land of apple pie (which they also serve, with cream).

Keeping things traditional on the menu guests can enjoy a line-up of burgers, subs, nachos, chilli and of course the hot dog – served in four different ways depending on the region of America they are named after. The New York being the most iconic – grilled beef frankfurter topped with sauerkraut and yellow mustard served in a basket with a bucket of fries.

Made in-house and already becoming a firm favourite are the Buffalo chicken wings – coated in a special blend of herbs, spices and fried until crispy. Monday nights at the Rose Villa Tavern are the best time to enjoy these comforting treats – customers can enjoy a whole kilo of wings with fries for just £12.50.

If comfort food is their thing customers can pop in over the weekend to enjoy a pancake, bacon and maple syrup filled brunch, or a mighty 24oz prime rib steak for two to share on a Sunday. Other highlights on the new menu are the burgers – homemade patties of beef lightly seasoned and topped with US favourites – they include Pulled Pork, Mushroom and Swiss cheese and the Philli Cheese – Provelone cheese, fried onions and hot peppers.

The Rose Villa Tavern was the fourth venue in the Bitters ‘n Twisted family of cocktail bars to open in Birmingham and is open seven days a week serving food from Noon, 11am at the weekend.
